Jenny, as we call her, is the greatest indicator to me that Barack Obama will win in November, and one of his secret weapons. My daughter, who is the mother of three young children and rarely gets excited by politics, will be going to Nevada one weekend in October to help the Obama campaign win that swing state.
We live in California, which is considered safe Obama territory, so canvassing and GOTV is not as crucial here as it is in our neighboring state, and she and some other mothers are going to drive to Las Vegas to do their part.
If my daughter is this excited, motivated enough to leave her three children in the care of their dad for the weekend, then how much more fired up must other young people be?
We are going to win this thing. We are going to kick these bastards all the way from Washington back to the frozen tundra of Alaska and the deserts of Arizona.
