I honest to god don't know what the hell is going on. In the last week everything in this political race has changed and it makes no sense to me.
JM picks a spokesmodel for his running mate, someone nobody but the granolas and moose hunters in Alaska had every heard of, and all of a sudden she is every white man's wet dream and every white woman's heroine.
She is a freakin liar, a terrible mother who parades her unmarried pregnant teen on stage with her redneck boyfriend, a radical right wing fundie who wants to teach creationism and doesn't believe in global warming, an ignorant power hungry woman who follows through on vendettas against former brothers in law and people she doesn't like by firing them or trying to fire them, she soaks the taxpayers for boondoggle pork projects then tries to sell herself as a reformer, she knows zilch about foreign and domestic policy, she has become the celebrity of all celebrities, and all of a sudden McCain has soared ahead in the polls.
Obama supporters are despondent, Obama seems flat in television interviews, there are rumors he isn't raising money like before, his commercials are boring, and it is as if someone has ordered him to throw the election.
Is this really happening? I can't believe that people who once sent him money are now giving up on him. I can't believe Dems are this demoralized this quickly over what? A bimbo? A totally unqualified person who could be exposed if only we got back our fighting spirit?
And what about Hillary? Why isn't she out there fighting her heart out? She seems only lukewarm in her support for Obama. Is she really hoping he'll lose so she can come back in 2012? By then McCain will be dead and Sarah the Great will be firing people at will from the Oval Office and appointing pentecostalist supreme court justices.
Why hasn't Hillary starred in some of Obama's commercials? Why hasn't Gore, or Bill, or even the ordinary people who spoke at the convention?
What the hell is going on?
Obama may be no drama, but half of his supporters will be dead from heart attacks or aneurysms if something doesn't change quick.
