To save the Republic, Sarah Palin must be defeated

This email is making the rounds in evangelical circles and I have to say it scares the shit out of me. That someone as ignorant and non-reality based as Sarah Palin could even come close to the presidency is one of my worst nightmares. These so-called Christians are vicious, hateful, blind, arrogant and completely insane, and they could actually rule this land one day, obliterating the separation of church and state. There are many reasons why this election is important, but defeating the Republican holier than thou religious nuts, and utterly crushing any future for Sarah Palin is among the most important.

Here's the email:

Dear friends:
Barack Hussein Obama has taken the nation by storm. From obscurity, with zero executive experience, or much of any kind, he has vaulted into the position of
Presidential frontrunner. It is stunning. On the surface, it appears attributable only to his eloquent oratory and his race. But an invisible factor may be a strong spiritual force behind him, causing some people to actually swoon in his presence...

Last week at Obama's acceptance speech, that spirit exalted itself in front of a Greek temple-like stage, and to a huge audience like in a Roman arena. Obama was portrayed as god-like. His voice thundered as a god's voice. At the end,
Democratic sympathizer Pastor Joel Hunter gave the benediction and shockingly invited everyone to close the prayer to their own (false) gods. This was surely an abomination, but it was compatible with Obama's expressed theology, and Hunter's leftist leanings.

God was not pleased... Enter Governor Sarah Palin. With incredible timing, the very next day, Sarah Palin also appeared out of nowhere... We quickly learned that Sarah is a born-again, Spirit-filled Christian, attends church, and has been a ministry worker. Sarah is that standard God has raised up to stop the flood. She has the anointing. You can tell by how the dogs are already viciously attacking her. But they will not be successful. She knows the One she serves and will not be intimidated.
Back in the 1980s, I sensed that Israel's little-known Benjamin Netanyahu was chosen by God for an important end-time role. I still believe that. I now have that
same sense about Sarah Palin... Only God knows the future and how she may be
used by Him, but may this noble woman serve to bring renewal in the land, and
inspiration.

I made some of the words bold and want to comment briefly on the coded message these words send out.

Hussein - note the use of Obama's middle name, which he never uses. It's code for "Muslim."

executive - this is a republican talking point. While Palin has far less experience than Obama, and obviously less intelligence, the only intelligence they count is "executive." The adoption of Republican talking points is a perfect example of combining church and politics.

race - this - the color of his skin - is the real problem many of these fake Christians have with Obama and one of the surest signs they know nothing about god.

invisible factor - read evil spirit, devil

spirit - ditto

Greek Temple - evidence of Obama's pagan background, worshipping of false gods (never mind that it was an imitation of the kind of architecture of the Capitol, White House, and Lincoln Memorial - pictured above)

Roman - more pagans, persecutors of Christians

godlike - Obama is a false god, prideful, destined for a fall

Democratic sympathizer - the word sympathizer used to be used with "Communist" and these people are so ignorant they see no difference between Democrats and Communists

false gods - the kind Obama apparently believes in, even though he is a Christian

expressed theology - Muslim?

appeared out of nowhere - like an angel, like a miracle

dogs - hounds of hell?

end-time role - aha! Now we get to it. These are the dispensationalists, the rapture ready, the ones who are willing to go to war in Iran in order to provoke them to attack Israel, so the end times can begin.

These people are beyond nuts and they must be defeated. They are free to believe what they want in the privacy of their own churches and homes, but to let one of them rule this country (even Bush isn't this nuts) and try to bring the "will of god" to the world, is simply too scary. That they are certain they know that will, that they will act on the basis of words in a book or visions in their heads, is contrary to everything the Founding Fathers tried to create.
