Colin Powell, where are you?

There's one person who could put a stop to this racist, hateful McCain campaign that is inciting rabid Republicans to at least speak violently and perhaps eventually behave violently.

That person is Colin Powell.

It's time this former General, former Secretary of State, stood up and said "Enough." Powell should announce his support for Barack Obama as not only the better candidate, but the more honorable and dignified candidate.

Some may think Powell owes his success to the Republican Party and thus out of loyalty should not endorse a Democrat.

But Powell owes much more to the country. But the hate-mongering in McCain's campaign has the potential to further divide this country, and only someone with the status of Powell could call McCain on it.

As a statesman, Powell us us this much.
