Gwen Ifill, the moderator of tomorrow night's vice presidential debate is reportedly writing a book about a new generation of black politicians. Ifill, who is African American, is now being attacked by the wingnuts for being biased.
Would conservative McCain supporters really be going after Gwen Ifill if they thought their vice presdential candidate would do well tomorrow night?
No. If they thought she would do well they wouldn't be trying to do everything they could to either a) intimidate the moderator into going easy on Palin, or failing that b) use the unfairness meme after Palin puts in a horrible performance.
Ifill is one of the least biased reporters I have ever seen. Sitting in for Jim Lehrer many nights, she plays it right down the middle. She will do a great job and will be more than fair. And I don't think she will be intimidated into pulling punches.
These people are desperate, and they should be. Palin is a disaster.
